Leading Latex Tubing Manufacturers

Latex tubing (tubing made of natural latex rubber) goes by many names. It can be called exercise tubing, gum rubber tubing, dipped tubing, or elastic tubing. Latex is one of the most elastic and flexible rubber materials with the lowest durometer rating. Latex tubing is resilient and preserves memory even when repetitively bent, stretched, or stressed. Additionally, latex can tolerate repeated sterilization using gamma radiation, ethylene oxide, or steam. Read More…

The Production of Latex Tubing

Latex tubing production involves two methods. Some manufacturers wrap hot latex rubber strips around a pipe using a mandrel. Other manufacturers use extrusion by pushing latex rubber through a die. In addition, manufacturers use continuous dipping to create latex tubing.

Latex Tubing

The continuous dip technique produces superior natural latex rubber tubing. The physical characteristics of latex tubing are often better quality and more vividly colored than synthetic rubber or natural rubber tubing.

Types of latex tubing

Surgical Latex Tubing

Latex is used to make surgical tubing, which is available in a range of sizes and thicknesses. Although surgical tubing is intended for medical applications, other applications also frequently employ it because of its flexibility, gripping ability, and elasticity. Surgical tubing has many applications outside the hospital, including toys for kids and aquatic sports.

Natural Latex Tubing

Natural latex tubing is flexible, pliable, and soft. This natural substance maintains its properties from below zero to the required steam sterilizing temperatures. Natural latex can withstand the torture of repetitive stretching thanks to its high tensile strength and great flexibility. Due to its natural characteristics, latex tubing is perfect for hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, businesses that produce disposable medical equipment, and chemical research labs.

Colored Latex Tube

Colored latex tubes work the same way as other latex tubes in their different applications. This one is mostly employed when there is a need to add an aesthetic feel to the solution.

Applications of Latex Tubing

  • Latex tubing is used in drips and with surgical tools like fluid suction. Surgical tubing is resilient and adaptable enough to survive many environments, making it a popular material outside the medical industry.
  • Using latex tubing for exercise has grown in popularity. Stretching rubber bands or tubes provide resistance that can help many different muscle groups get stronger.
  • Latex rubber tubing is used to create homemade lures. Surgical tubing's elasticity allows it to mimic a fish's swimming motion when submerged, making it a particularly good material for constructing rubber eel lures. Typically, a homemade lure is affixed at the end of the surgical tubing with a fishing jig head.
  • Most scuba diving equipment shops carry latex rubber tubing. Due to its flexibility, grip, and strong fastening that releases rapidly, it is a good alternative for rope underwater.

The Benefits of Natural Rubber Latex Tubing

  • Its flexibility makes natural rubber latex tubing a fantastic choice for many applications.
  • Even when conveying fluids, users can twist natural rubber latex tubing to fit in small spaces because it tolerates significant stretching and bending without deforming.
  • Due to its elongation and tensile strength, natural rubber latex tubing is a durable option for various applications.
  • Although natural rubber latex is less weather-resistant than other materials, it can still be weatherproof by applying a protective covering.
  • Latex tubes generate more vivid colors than dry natural rubber tubes or synthetic rubber tubes.

Choosing the Proper Latex Tubing Supplier

To make sure you have the most positive outcome when purchasing latex tubing from a latex tubing supplier, it is important to compare at least 4 to 5 suppliers using our latex tubing directory. Each latex tubing supplier has a business profile page that highlights their areas of experience and capabilities and a contact form to directly communicate with the supplier for more information or request a quote. Review each latex tubing business website using our proprietary website previewer to get an idea of what each company specializes in, and then use our simple RFQ form to contact multiple latex tubing businesses with the same form.
